Sales
I’ve been in the events industry for 10 years, and the best part of my job is building and cultivating long-term relationships with clients and industry partners. I view myself as an extension of my clients’ team and really take the time to understand their objectives, priorities, and audience. Then I work alongside various AEX teams to translate those ideas into well-executed events that factor in the client’s practical needs, so the final result is set up for success.
I’m a proud Texas A&M alum, and nothing makes me happier than spending time outdoors with my family and friends!
I’ve been in the events industry for 15 years, and the best part is meeting people and developing relationships. I help clients realize their dreams by understanding their vision and using the latest technology and equipment to make it happen.
People are always surprised to learn I have four grandchildren — and a fifth on the way. When I’m not working, I’m somewhere near water: boating, airboating, or down in the Florida Keys. I also love making custom wood tables.
The best part of my job is meeting so many amazing people and building real connections along the way. For me, bringing a client’s vision to life starts with actively listening, not just to what they want, but to the purpose behind their event and the experience they’re trying to create. From the first discovery call to being on-site to the follow-up afterward, communication is everything.
When I’m not working, I’m outdoors: hiking, sightseeing, fishing, or knocking items off my national parks bucket list.
After 21 years in the event industry, I still love that no two clients or events are the same. I’m a collaborator and a problem-solver, so my favorite moment is when everything comes together, and you see those happy faces on the show floor. It takes a lot of people to bring a vision to life, which is why I always bring our design team in early for consultation.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me walking my dog Nola around in her stroller at local craft fairs, gardening, or catching my grandson’s baseball games.
20 years in the industry have taught me that it’s all about the three L’s: listen, listen, listen! You have to listen to a client to really know the direction they want to take their event. I’m particularly keen on helping clients attract new sponsors and attendees, which is key to continued success.
Here’s something people are always surprised to learn about me: I was once the Senior Horticulturist at Roger Williams Park Zoo! These days, you’ll find me down at the barn, on the beach, or in the garden.
After 15 years in the industry, I have a healthy disregard for the impossible. The answer is “yes,” then it’s about figuring out “how.” One of my favorite parts of this work is watching a blank canvas become reality in days after months of planning.
Most people don’t know I have a bachelor’s in music from UTSA, where I studied classical guitar. That creative side never left. I’ve been building guitars from scratch for years, with eight instruments and counting. I do everything except cut down the tree.
I have 45 years of experience joining my clients’ planning process from the start: setting budgets, studying competitors, and planning their shows and spaces every step of the way.
Here’s something people are always surprised to learn: I competed in the Junior Olympics and came home with a gold medal in high jump and bronze in the 800m and the 440m relay. These days, my competitive streak comes out during canasta with all my canasta sisters. I’m also a bathroom singer — my go-to is Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”
After 20 years in the events industry, I love seeing how my behind-the-scenes work helps our teams succeed. I focus on keeping data accurate, improving processes, and creating efficiencies so our sales and account management teams can do their jobs effectively and confidently.
I’m a mom of two, a boy and a girl, and they’re my little best friends! And if karaoke is happening, I’m going with “Uptown Funk” or “Skate” by Bruno Mars. You need energy? I’ve got energy!
After 35 years of event experience, this industry is all about the relationships and experiences we share. I listen, think big, and ask what would make me want to stay on the show floor.
My passion for the creative is undoubtedly shaped by my artistic talents: I’m a wildlife painter! When I’m not choosing between oils or watercolors, I’m probably in the backyard playing cards with my family or in the pool with my granddaughter. If my life were a movie, Glenn Powell would narrate it — he’s got that real Texas drawl.
I have 26 years of event experience, and my main role today is removing obstacles so our team and customers have a positive experience working with AEX. I bring a client’s vision to life by listening and communicating that vision to our internal teams.
On the weekends, you can find me by the water, attending a sporting event, or spending time with my family. My go-to karaoke song is Kenny Rogers’ “The Gambler,” which honestly feels about right.
My job is all about alignment: getting sales, marketing, and operations pulling in the same direction. When that clicks, everything gets easier.
I almost became a lawyer. I still build cases, challenge weak thinking, and argue for the best outcome. I just do it in business. Outside of work, I’m a puzzle person. I like figuring things out and connecting the pieces. On weekends, I’m usually outside with good people or planning my next vacation.
Quick Answers
When should I involve AEX Sales in an upcoming event?
As early as it makes sense. AEX Sales team can work from a formal RFP, an established scope, or an opportunity that is still taking shape. Early conversations can help clarify needs, identify opportunities, and surface questions before too much is locked in.
Does AEX Sales work with formal RFPs and early-stage opportunities?
Yes. Some opportunities begin with a complete RFP, while others start with an idea, a challenge, or a few known requirements. The Sales team can meet the opportunity wherever it is in the process.
What information helps AEX Sales understand an opportunity?
Event dates, location, size, goals, current scope, budget parameters, and known challenges are all helpful to the AEX Sales team, but a complete brief is not required to start a conversation.
